Multimedia Infrastructure:
• Integrated & maintain (but didn’t design) The Denver Post video interfaces hosted by Brightcove. A variety of smaller Brightcove players and widgets are deployed throughout the site.
• Built infrastructure (but didn’t design) and maintain the photo galleries built with SlideShowPro. Recently built and added an automated RSS-based slideshow updater (on Sports section fronts upper right hand corner) that displays & links to most recent slide shows.
• The podcasting interface is my work, and other section fronts such DenverPost.com/theater use the automated mp3 player. I built and launched the Talk Back call-in commenting feature.
• Helped integrate Twitter into DenverPost.com for display of live mobile texting from news and sports events.
Other items:
• Several mashups are my projects, including WeatherNow that features an automated weather warning process. Warnings that display on the Severe Weather Warning page are passed automatically to the home page via RSS as a “Severe Weather Warning” link. Built denverweathernow.com weather dashboard.
• Built an automated map showing earthquakes over the last 24 hours and a guide to nightly downtown music events map using Yahoo Maps Ajax API and Pipes.Yahoo.com
• Helped with building an xml-based interactive FusionMaps primary election map for the 2008 elections. This version shows the GOP results.
