SlideShowPro instructions
Rule to remember: Create an Album first, then add the Album to a Gallery. Also remember that a slide show Album is not visible in a Gallery until you make the Album “Active.”
(Updated Feb. 17, 2008)
1) In your browser, go to Slide Show Director at www.digitalnewsroom.net/ssp.
2) Click the “Albums” tab and in the “Create a new album” form at right, enter name of your album — “Bill Ritter’s birthday” — then click the “create button.”
3) You’ll be taken to the “Upload” tab of your album.
4) In the “Add content” area click the “Browse” button and search for the first JPG image to upload. Click the “Browse” button again and search for other images to upload and add them to the File list at the right. When you’ve designated all the images to upload, click the “Upload” button and the images will be loaded into the album.
5) After the images upload, click the “Summary” tab area will show (click on it if it doesn’t). Add a description of the album – “Bill Ritter’s birthday party on Sunday. Feb. 12″ or whatever description you choose. On the right hand side, change the album from “Inactive” to “Active.”
9) Select the “Content” tab and your uploaded images will show again. Drag and drop them to re-order. Click on the small pencil icon – this is where you will copy and paste cutlines (from your Word doc on your desktop.). Edit your cutlines as needed.
10) With your images uploaded and cutlines added, you can now add you Album to a Gallery.
11) Select your own Gallery, or the Demo gallery, by clicking on the Gallery’s name. You’ll see a complete list of all Albums available. Find your Album in the list, and add it to your Gallery by clicking the little cellphone icon thingy.
